Your True Self (Is Enough)

From The Desk of our CEO: Victoriyah Smith

Stay true to your gift and calling. You’re not supposed to look like everyone else; you’re an original and your light should always be shining bright. It’s a good practice to spend time with yourself to understand what your assignment is in the earth. To know what you were predestined to be By the Most High YAH. So many times, we allow people to influence or overpower how we show up in this world. That’s too much power and control to give anyone. Women entrepreneurs, Be your authentic self. Be different. What does that mean? It means that you may not fit into every space (square) ( rectangle) because you are a (diamond) and that’s okay. If it doesn’t fit please don’t force it. Keep allowing the Most High to mode and shape your life to be what he designed it to be from the foundations of the world. You are a trailblazer in your own right and soon you will begin to see that your ideas, words, and wisdom are being used in the lives of others. This is what you want to see, your authentic self impacting the lives of others. ( Don’t compete). Show up authentically ( original) and never dim the light that our creator has placed within you neither put it under a bushel to be hidden. What does dimming your light look like; you change your hair to fit in; you change the loudness of your voice to fit in; you stop being the real you from behind closed doors; you change how you dress to be like others; you speak the common vernacular; you become a puppet to fit in the rooms. Eventually, you lose yourself and your true identity.

Today , women entrepreneurs let your (True Self ) Arise and SHINE, SHINE, SHINE for the world to see and then the Father YAH in heaven will be Esteemed in the Earth through your gifts & talents. Now Push forward into your Destiny as an original fashioned by hands of the Almighty YAH , not people. Saying YAH let your Light (Yahshuah) shine BIG in me.

Don't Compete

Desk of CEO & Philanthropist ( Victoriyah Smith)

Women Entrepreneurs there’s no need to compete with others. The Most High YAH has given you your gifts to prosper with in this world. Remember it’s for YAH’s Esteem that we were purposed to live. Your very own gifts will make room for you and bring you before great kings. Build your life according to what brings you joy, peace, and fulfillment. Now is not the time to compete or covet what others may be doing or what they have accumulated. By doing that you’ll be unhappy, unsatisfied ,and lose sight of your own true vision and blessings. Stay connected to YAH ( your creator) and know that his plans for your life are “Yes” and “ Amen”. He doesnot change midstream. YAH is faithful.

So today love yourself, believe in yourself, and choose to focus on your own happiness and goals that you deeply desire to accomplish. The road may not be easy, but don’t you dare give up. Anything that is worth having is worth working for. Let your motives be pure because the Most High weighs the intentions of our heart. Which means He judges the reasons why we are showing up. Keep your heart clean from malice, strife, pride, vainglory, and competition. These sins stifle your business success.

NWBO believes in you and we’re here to help with your back-office needs and to also pray for your success in your unique vision. Finish strong everyday and enjoy your life as you build your own unique YAH-given business. Be original not a cookie cut operation. Those who steal ideas set themselves up for failure because the idea or event they stole may not be what is in their true destiny; therefore, it’s a waste of time and talent. Earnestly Pray and seek YAH for his divine plan for your business.

Now let this be a thankful Wednesday as you reflect on every blessing that YAH has given YOU. No need to stress or go outside of what you know is TRUE within yourself. Don’t compete with others. (Use Your own gifts and talents to shine uniquely). Be willing to work & wait on your own success. Our timing is not YAH’s timing.

Watch out for monitoring spirits in this season. It’s a form of covetousness which is a sin. Remember your peace and mental health is everything. This season you may have to unfriend, unfollow, and disconnect from people who are competing with your success.

Let’s Keep it real!!!! Everybody that’s attached to you may not desire your best interest. Discern wisely in this season and live the dream that you want, not because of someone else. Trust the Most High to prosper your business every step of the way. YAH got you so don’t fret because He is on your side ( the righteous always WIN).

Coach “V:

Protecting Your Vision

From the Desk of our CEO:

As women entrepreneurs, it is important that you protect your vision. Protect what the Most High YAH has placed in your heart and in your hands. It is sad to say but “Every person walking upon this earth is for you or your vision”. (Watch out for Judas spirits). So What does “Protecting Your Vision” look like. It means that you cover your ideas and your deepest desires by not oversharing or yoking up with the wrong individuals. Many times due to excitement about our business or endeavor, we speak to soon or tell the wrong people what our plans are and it causes a delay or a business miscarriage or abortion. “Protection” means shielding your business plans and intentions until the appointed time designated by the Most High YAH to bring it unto “Fruition”.It means using discernment to ‘try the spirits that are coming to connect/network with your brand or vision. “Protecting Your business” means discerning & weeding out those who are only connecting with your brand for gain, fame, popularity, and money. These connections or collaborations SNUFF-OUT the seeds that have been sown in your business through faith and because the connection is not pure; chaos, destruction, envy, competition, jealousy, emulation, negativity, and disarray follow and impede your business. (Hampering the seed sown). Also, “Protecting your business” means praying over your business for divine guidance and wisdom that only comes from above through our Father, YAH (Creator of all things). One of the major pitfalls that many entrepreneurs experience is “seeking validation and approval from others”. This goes against the art of protecting your business because you now have moved into the space of “people pleasing” which this causes you to lose sight of your own true vision for your business. Know that if people never share, post, speak, or shout praises about your business, remember that the Most High is with you always and is working HIS favour on behalf of your business. Be patient with your business growth ladies, don’t seek to become an overnight success; if this is your destiny ordained by YAH; YAH (God) will catapult you there in his perfect timing. Trust the process and remain stedfast to stewardship and protection of your business vision. So, I will leave you with wisdom from the scripture: There is a time, purpose, and a season for everything; therefore, Be willing to WAIT on the timing of YAH, which in turn will bring GREAT SUCCESS as you move forward in your business.

The Role of Leadership

Leadership in your business as a woman entrepreneur is one of the most important requirements in acheiving the success you desire in your business. There are many views on what Leadership may look like in a business; however, today, my aim is to help you to evaluate and examine what essential characteristics may be missing as you work toward’s a successful business. The mindset of a true leader is “ If at first I don’t succeed, I will try, try, try again until I succeed”. Being a leader takes grit, endurance, faith, humility, and long-suffering to say the least. True leadership within a business, looks at what is not working and works toward finding solutions to the problems at hand. in an effort to serve others. It embraces the TRUTH and examines the findings and evaluates the results of the project, promo, boost, ad, post, campaign, event, revenue stream, products, and the services. Not hinging on the delusion of faking it until I make it type of attitude. Leadership digs deep into the realities of “What Is” and “What Is Not? and “What Can Be”. True leadership answers these questions and strategically puts a plan into place.

True entreprenerial leadership is a lost commodity in our society today. Why? it is because entrepreneurs will do anything to WIN even if it is not integrity. As you move forward in opening your buisness; growing your business ; expanding your business,; or even franchising your busiiness, remember these (7) characteristics to geniune leadership that will bring success to your unique business.

As a Business Leader:

#1 - Understand the importance of a Yearly Business Plan

#2 - Surround Yourself With Like-minded People (Iron Sharpens Iron)

#3 - Provide High Quality Products or Services

#4 - Understand the importance of formulating a Yearly Marketing Plan (Sales)

#5 - Provide Excellent Customer Service

#6 - Connect With a Mentor Coach or Networking Circle For Business Growth

#7 - Set Realistic Yearly Goals

Remember that you are laying a foundation; a legacy for your children and family; Therefore, slow and steady is the horse that wins the race in the long run. Your role in the leadership of your business is too Build slow, but build sure, and build upon biblical principles that will never fail that lead to Great Success!!!

Taking Time To Breathe

In today’s world, we find as entrepreneurs there’s so much busyness all around us. As a business owner, that’s a part of the journey; however, it’s important to take time to relax, refresh, and get revitalized to fulful the mission.Entrepreneurial Burnout is a real condition. A condition that could cause sickness, stress, headaches, worry, fatique, confusion, memory loss, divorce, separation, business closure, and death.

Taking time to “Just Be” is important. Staying in our lane of business and not venturing out of our area of expertise is WISDOM. Stay true to your calling and your mission statement in your business, Why is this important? The weight of trying to be someone that you are not; trying to accomplish things that are not ordained in your life; and trying to use (YAH) god-given potential for things that are not assigned to your hands will lead to failure. An example is an “apple tree will never produce oranges” because it is not assigned or purposed to bring forth apples. In business, we can get off track and into areas of busines that we were not sanctioned by YAH (God) to operate within. (Please receive the WISDOM today)l

Taking time to seek YAH (God) for direction in your business is very important to the life-line of your business. Taking time to hear from him is always the problem. We don’t give ourselves enough time to wait and hear from our Father, our creator to understand how HE is leading us ( into our destiny).

Women entrepreneurs, take time to cultivate your business so that growth will come. Cultivating your business takes time and is done outside of the glam, lights, camera, and the networking spaces. It’s mastered in times of quietness, examination, evaluation, and reveiwing the outcomes within your business. Take time to embrace your business and have quality time with IT (business) apart from the world. You’ll find that some tasks, goals, and expectations serve as distractions, energy busters and fuel drainers within your life and business. These business vampires rob you of your true assignment and purposeful intention.

Go to sleep at night; get refreshed for the next day; allow YAH (God) to work with you in your business because you cannot succeed alone. Remember that your “body keeps the score”. so listen to your body.

Your success will come but not through sickness, bad health, over exertion,or burnout, or people, So, I Challenge every business owner to take time to LIVE and use your five senses to eperience a fullness & a quality of life that speaks to your wellbeing: emotionally, financiaily, mentally, and spiritually. Therefore, Take time to enjoy the fruits of your labor as you build your legacy. (Breathe) (Exhale) & (Let go of the tension & stress) as you allow the Most High YAH to be head of your entrepreneurial journey. When HE is in control things manifest as they were assigned.

Integrity, A Lost GEM

There was a time in business transactions, not long ago. There was a time when a business owner could give a handshake and that handshake meant “ I am going to deliver on the promise that I just made with you” and you can trust me”. In today’s time the art of being trustworthy and honest is few and in between. Entrepreneurs give their word or promise to obtain a sale and afterwards, there is no commitment to follow through with quality customer service or reciprocation of services. As a bona-fide business owner, your first priority is ‘ Your Word”. When you give your word to a client, colleague, friend, or any individual, be honest and reliable to finish what you started in that business relationship. So many times, loose commitments are verbally made and the customer or client is left hanging or waiting for the promise to be delivered. Integrity is trustworthiness, which means that a person should be able to take you at your word and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your words are true and reliable. The most important discipline any business owner should develop is to not make promises that they don’t plan to keep. When you make a promise that you don’t keep, it blemishes your “INTEGRITY” which is your reputation. So as you build your business and plan to be in business for the duration, take time to watch your words carefully and only speak the things that you know that you can deliver on and intend to make happen. The Discipline of Integrity must be at the core of your business; however, it starts with you as a business owner understanding that your words will decide the worth of your business. If your words are worthless then the public will view your business as worthless as well. Worthless words stop business owners from fostering positive relationships, building empires, and leaving wholesome legacies in business. Be sure to examine your integrity language, make the necessary improvements, and daily walk in Integrity in your business! Don’t make promises you don’t intend to keep!

Communication-Key to Success (Part 3)

As an Entrepreneur, effective communication takes know how, understanding, and practice. Effective communication has become a lost art due to so much focus on a "stereotypical" point of view. So many times listeners are judged by their hair, clothes, and how they articulate. Entrepreneurs should never judge a book by its cover. To be an effective communicator, an Entrepreneur should learn the basics about personalities. Whether you're communicating with an individual or an audience, it's important to learn their personality type. This awareness will help you to understand how they behave and how to effectively communicate on their level.

By focusing on the different personality types, your capacity to deliver (communicate) your message in a way that others hear and understand will be increased. So, before you speak to an individual or a group, learn this simple acronym for the different personality types. This acronym "EISITFJP" identifies the basic group of personalities that you could be speaking to.

E-Extraverts

I-Introverts

S-Sensors

I-Intuitives

T-Thinkers

F-Feelers

J-Judgers

P-Perceivers

As you study this acronym, remember that each of these personalities requires a certain delivery approach for effective communication to take place.

We invite you to attend one of our upcoming workshops or seminars to learn more about the art of effective communication.

Refueling Yourself- Mentally

In these trying times, many small business owners are still dealing with the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. These effects range from financial issues, stress, anxiety, anguish, and other mental health problems. Stress that is not diagnosed has the ability to drain the life from its victims. During this pandemic, some stressors to be aware of are financial loans, not making enough money, not providing basic provisions for your family, school re-opening,unemployment,health concerns, and not being able to address the concerns of clients. Business Owners should watch out for "Mental Fatique", which absorbs you physically, emotionally, and mentally. To avoid business burnout, due to stress and anxiety here are some healthy ways to help refuel yourself during these difficult times.

1) Seek the help of a mental health professional before fatigue sets in.

2) Disengage from not only clients but peers also as necessary.

3) Create a support system for the purpose of venting and spending time doing nothing.

4) Consciously decide to involve yourself in activities that are self-satisfying.

5) Accept that you are not in control of everyone and everything only yourself.

6) Take prescribed medications as needed to improve functioning and improve your quality of life.

As a business owner, you also deserve the space to unplug, rest, relax, and to take the necessary time-off for healing, being, and managing your thoughts, fears, and your emotions. This is the process of "Refueling"!

Roll With The Wave

So much has happened due to COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic started in mid-march of 2020 and many businesses are still struggling at the end of 2021. Struggling to keep employees, pay taxes, and operate day-to-day. The pandemic was a huge wave that drowned alot of businesses. The wave was massive. It changed the normal face-to-face manner in which we did business. In November 2021, we are still wearing masks and slowly getting back to engaging our clients in an office setting. Virtual meetings have been a way of the norm these past years. As a business owner, you cannot have a "pond mentality" because as you see, we have all been dropped into the "deep water" so to speak and must survive and swim. Learning how to swim is not always easy, yet in these times, you have to do more than just get your feet wet. You have to learn to swim with the wave, not just keep your head above the water.

In addition, many businesses have been affected financially and have closed shop and filed bankruptcy. Studies show that approximately 200,000 small businesses closed their doors in the United States in the first year. So if you are still managing to stay afloat in your business in 2021, you have an opportunity to connect yourself with practice-based resources to survive in the upcoming years. Business is changing from day to day and as a business owner, it is imperative that you roll with the tide and learn how to swim with the big fish.

Improving Client Engagement

It is certainly true that clients are not an interruption of our day. They are the reason why we decided to start a business. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing restrictions have been put in place to ensure safety. These restrictions continue to impact businesses from day to day. Client Engagement is one of the major concerns that business owners are trying to stay committed to resolving.

One of the ways that business owners can engage their clients is through common means of virtual assistance. This may be new to you as a business owner but you have to be flexible and change with these times. Be willing to learn new technology. Virtual sources that can be used are Zoom, Skype, and Google Hangouts just to name a few. At first, your working with these platforms may be intimidating and challenging to grasp and learn, continue to strive and gain new tools to effectively assist your clients.

Clients may also be intimidated by learning new technology. Here's the deal. This can be your opportunity to show your clients your business competence and versatility. Being emphatic to their fears and challenges will bring loyalty and commitment to you as a business owner.

Remember that the possibility of losing clients is very likely if business owners do not adjust to the demands of client satisfaction. The Network of Women Business Owners is here to help! visit us www.networkofwomenbusinessowners.net.

Networking Ethics

Ethics is the branch of knowledge that deals with moral principles. Entrepreneurs must model ethical behavior when engaging in networking events. So how do entrepreneurs and business owners model ethical behavior during networking events? How do networking event organizers create a culture of trust and values? It's not a one time task. Networking Ethics is an ongoing integration of values such as empowerment, trust, transparency, dignity, and respect. It's important that moral ethics be instilled at every level of leadership. Taking advantage of the vulnerabilities of others should not be the culture of networking.

Let's look at a few ways that networking organizers and entrepreneurs can create a culture of ethics when networking.

1 )Examine your moral compass on a regular basis.

2) Exemplify moral behavior as an ethical leader.

3) Create a space for openness and transparency at networking events for attendees.

4) Develop a code of ethics document for networking events at registration.

5) Implement ethical training during networking events.

6) Create suggestion boxes and negative feedback surveys.

7) Revise networking practices based on negative feedback evaluations to ensure an ethical culture.

8) Apologize for any misconduct that might have transpired during networking events.

Be assured that Exploitation can and will happen during networking events, if an ethical culture is not established for attendees. Ethical misconduct can be redirected when self-awareness is emphasized and strategies are put into practice.
